HOW DO YOU CLEAN A PAIR OF MAGUBA CLOGS?
If the wood becomes dirty you can gently clean the clog bottoms with a damp cloth or if necessary using soap and water. Light sand paper can be used to clean up scratches and dents.
The open grain of our wooden bottoms allows moisture to be absorbed. This is why our clogs absorb foot perspiration to help keep your feet nice and comfortable but the bottoms also absorb external water. It is therefore important that if your clogs become very wet, you allow them to dry slowly. Wipe your clogs clean then put them in a dry place with room temperature. Do not heat your clogs or try to speed up the drying process as this could cause the wood to crack.
LEATHER CARE DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF LEATHER YOUR CLOGS ARE MADE OF:
Leathers with a matt or shiny finish:
These leathers have a smooth finish that can be easily cleaned. Use a damp cloth to wipe clean any dirt on the clogs. If this does not work, try soap and water.
Nubuck & Suede:
You can wipe these leathers with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Then use a nubuck & suede brush to remove stains on the surface of the leather. You can also use a nubuck & suede protection spray to give a layer of protection against wet and stains. For best results this spray should be applied on the leather when the clogs are new.
You can wipe our patent leather clogs with a damp cloth. If this does not work, try soap and water on the spots of dirt.
